Will progesterone help with anxiety

I have some progesterone cream, but I have been reluctant to use it. I could use the increased libido since my husband thinks I don't love him anymore! lol ,Is there any certain testosterone cream I need? And how much should I use? Also, I have an extremely hectic and stressful job...I have an in home Daycare. Do you think it will help me with anxiety,or is everybody different? Also, I don't want to grow a mustache or anything! I'm trying to be funny because it keeps my moodiness at bay Thank you so much for any information that you can offer, because I have been constantly confused over what I need to be doing with no ovaries and all.

Like this website taught me, it's all about balance. First make sure your estrogen levels are what they should be, talk to your Dr. I started to feel better when my estrogen levels stabilized . Then I first used a teaspoon of over the counter progesterone cream at night along with an Epsom salt bath. Do not exercise past 2:30 in the afternoon. I also took a multi vitamin and started taking a good fish oil capsule twice a day, then a B complex in the afternoon. When I finally found a menopause specialist Dr. She then prescribed a compounded progesterone/ testosterone cream. This Dr told me we need all the hormones we originally had to feel good. The testosterone gives you energy and a clear mind at least it did me. When I added the testosterone my libido improved. You need to find a Dr that will work with you. Believe me, I thought I would never get back to normal, it took 12 weeks and thank God for this Website

No mustache yet, it's just a whisper of a testosterone dose mixed in my progesterone cream, read about hormones on this website

Re: Will progesterone help with anxiety

It only took 12 weeks? You are so fortunate to have found a good doctor. Was it a bioidentical Dr? I'm worried that the one I've been thinking about going to won't be covered under my ins. I guess I need to take the time out of my busy day to find out. I already take a high quality fish oil, calcium, and multivitamin. It would be nice to feel like I used to, all the time, instead of just part of the time.

My Dr does use bioidenticals . My Ob/ Gyn said I did not need anything but estrogen but I was in really bad shape with mood swings and anxiety and I did not want antidepressants. I started talking to all the other Nurses at my hospital who also had their ovaries out. That's how I found this new Dr who has a Wellness Center for Women and they took my insurance. But everyone is different, this is what worked for me, I had all my hormone levels checked that's how I ended up with the combo cream, my testosterone was really low, I don't know anything about over the counter testosterone , mine is all made by a compound pharmacy

Will progesterone help with anxiety

Progesterone is known as the calming hormone, it helped me sleep and decreased my anxiety
It took 12 weeks for the anxiety to lessen after my surgery. I also am on the vivelle dot patch .1 mg
I had a whole regime I did for the anxiety but I do feel the progesterone cream at night was a huge factor
