It's getting real now!

My surgery is Wednesday, and I am so anxious for it to happen. I know I'm going to freak when I see "Best Wishes to our January 19th Princesses". It will make it even more real to me.
My house is almost in order - I have a few more things to do, but it's all coming together now. Anyone else feeling more than ready for the big day?

Re: It's getting real now!

Sounds like you have everything under control, good for you!! I was very ready to get it over with but went through a lot of different emotions before surgery. Remember we are here to listen and encourage you. Take care, see you post op!!!

I completely understand the realness of it all! Mine is tomorrow.
Good luck and see you on the flip side!

Re: It's getting real now!

I just had a TAH on the 13th and even though I had complications..I feel great just 3 days later. I had a lap 8 weeks ago and the healing process from that seems to be worse than this is. Don't get me wrong, I sure can't run (or walk) a mararthon but I feel a hundred times better than I expected. It really confirms for me that this was the right decision for me.

I wish you luck and hope you can relax. I was a mess the day before and especially the day of the surgery.

Re: It's getting real now!

I was so ready for it to get here and get it done already. I was so happy to be having it done. I started to get scared as it got closer but also more excited. I'm 6 months post op. Good luck, you'll do fine.

Re: It's getting real now!

annabelle_66 looks like you and I are on the same day. I wish you all the best. I can't wait to get this over with. Golden Sun is having hers on the 19th too. Looks like we will all be on the recovery board together.

Re: It's getting real now!

I'm on the 19th too and am anxious. Pre-op tomorrow will help make it feel all real and such, I suppose, but I'm actually quite scared. But I also know that soon, we'll all be on the flip side!

Re: It's getting real now!

I'm cheering for you! You may wish to stay away from the Post Op threads from now until your surgery and just focus on the positives. You're almost there and you need to do everything you can to maintain your calm and peace of mind! Focus on all the things you want to do after you are recovered!

Looking forward to seeing you on your Recovery Thread.
