Hello everyone. I'm new here and am looking for other women to communicate with who've not had any children and hysterectomy caused that not to happen. I feel like we are a "breed apart" and truly need one another. I'm working on a website for us all to meet in and utilize. After looking on the internet there's not much out there for us. I was 36 and had to have my total hyst. due to a very severe case of endometriosis. The doctor chose to "save my life" as he put it. Please post me a message and maybe we can all join efforts for our sakes!

My 2 cents

Hi Mrsdzbl,

I am 31, have never had children, and will be having a partial hyst Monday (leaving ovaries). Although I realize that I will never be able to bear children, I know that I will be able to have children - whether though IVF+surrogacy, donor eggs, adoption and/or being a foster parent.

I think it would be really great to have a forum on your board that focuses upon non traditional means of having children for women who have had this surgery. While post-hyst women do lose the ability to bear children, I really do believe that all can still achieve their dreams of having a child to love. And, it would be great to be able to share our knowledge, information and stories.

Hugs,
Chellise

Help!

I was so happy when I found this section, but see that no one has posted here for two years. This is my situation exactly and I am devastated. I would LOVE to talk to women who are experiencing or have experienced something similar. I need all the help I can get right now and will keep looking.

((( Kimber )))

I would really like to be able to give you a big hug in person. Since I can't do that, I'll send you lots of cyber hugs instead. Please remember that we do care about you. You don't ever have to to feel all alone when you come here!
