bleeding after intercourse

My LAVH was on Aug 9. I have had a wonderful recovery and feel better than I have for ages. Since we're both home this morning, my dh and I started the day with a wonderful loving encounter.
Now, I find that I am bleeding! [not huge volumes, but need a pad] This has never happened to me before and I am somewhat alarmed. I will call GYN tomorrow, don't want to bother her on Thanksgiving. Has this happened to anyone else??

It did not happen to me but my doctor warned me that it is quite common. You probably need to go in and be treated with a little silver nitrate. Don't panic. You can wait until after Thanksgiving unless the bleeding gets very intense.

thanks so much for the information. My doc never mentioned anything like this, so I didn't have a clue and was quite upset when it happened. You have set my mind at ease for the day, now I can go eat like a little piggy, and I will call my doc tomorrow.

gdd - I had some pinkish discharge on and off after sex for several months. It didn't happen all the time and it always quit by the next day. If it's "bright red" you probably should call your gyn. In the meantime, stay off your feet as much as you can.
