Does high estrogen levels cause anemia?

I am 8 weeks post-op and on HRT. The only thing I have left is my cervix.

At 5 weeks post-op, I had blood drawn to check levels. About a week ago (so almost 2 weeks later) I got a call from the nurse at my endocrinologists office. She said I was to lower my dose of estrogen because I was anemic?! I thought it would be because surgery was so close to the blood draw so still recovering from that.

I had my 8 week post-op appointment yesterday with my gynecologist (who did the hyst) and he claimed that estrogen levels have nothing to do with anemia?! So now I'm completely confused.

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this? I feel like being on the lower dose isn't going well for me. I was feeling good until I lowered the dose. But then again, it may be my body finally depleting itself from the hormones it had prior to surgery.

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions about this. I'd hate to "up" my estrogen levels again without talking to the endocrinologist I'm working with. But to get through on a Monday is impossible, plus who knows when they'll ever get back to me.

Thanks!

What were your levels on the test results? Did you get a copy. I would ask to speak the doctor and not the nurse. I have had previous experiences where the nurse told me things that were not necessarily what the doctor said, ie: something was lost in the translation.
