oral estrogen (updated - question about troche)

what are those paper things called -- the oral estrogen?
I think I'm allergic to skin contact estrogen. The cream I'm using... I'm ITCHING like CRAZY!!! I'm embarassed to say that this has been going on for quite a while too. I spent the day yesterday looking back in my journals. I've kept daily journals since the start of this. Seems that when I was on the vivelle patch and then got put on progesterone compound cream with testosterone cream, I didn't itch on my skin EXCEPT for the patch. That's why I went off the patch - it made me itch. But I was fine on the cream. So, that's when I went on the estrogen cream as well. Got itchy but not bad in the beginning. My arms actually broke out with dermatitis and they told me to switch to my inner thighs. That my arms might just be too thinned skin. I started out on van-pen but I didn't absorb that so now I'm on versabase and I'm absorbing it but the itching is just too much now. I woke up last night bleeding because I guess I scratched in my sleep. I got up and put on some anti itching gel I got from the Dr. and that took care of it. I'm pretty darn sure it's the estrogen. I can pin that down from my journal keeping. this makes me so sad!
I'm thinking about trying those paper wafer things - whatever they are called....? and keeping the progesterone and test. cream.
I wonder if the dosage would be the same?? I'm leaving for a short 3 day vacation tomorrow so I'll have to wait til I get back.

troche

Found the name of the wafer things Question on these... compared to the cream estrogen. The pharmacist said the creams are nice since they go into the fat and get released thru the day and troches might not do that? She said troches might give the surge and then wear off earlier. is this true?

Just talked with Dr's office and he's going to prescribe an anti itch gel that goes over the hormone cream. He wants me to try that first. I'm comfortable with that for now.
