Post operative "burning" at incision.

hello my sisters...i'm finally able to get to my computer. I've had family with me since the surgery and haven't had a moment to check in! Hope you are all feeling better each day!

My surgery went well and it was discovered that I did not ever have a septate uterus...but a big ole' nasty fibroid that split my uterus into two parts...amazing that none of the many scans I had revealed this information! side of my incision burns quite frequently...(probably from doing too much!) - but the other side is quite comfortable...

I realize I've been on my feet a lot...because I feel well enough...but realize that I'm probably stressing my incision.

anyone else with this experience?

My SAH was 11/15 with removal of large fibroids - my ovaries are still in place.

thanks and big hugs.

Hi Susan!

So glad to hear your surgery went well!

I think you were just in the chatroom! And I think you answered your own question - yep, definitely overdoing it can cause that sensation in and around your incision. There are nerve endings that get quite perturbed when cut on! They are trying to heal along with everything else, and get touchy when stretched around. It's great how our bodies will 'talk' to us like that. Just a shame that they won't say anything until the damage is done!

You are sooo early in your recovery - do please try to relax and take it easy, girl. Try not to be up on your feet so much. Your body told me to tell you that, 'cos it didn't think you were listening.

Take care sweetie - and be a good

I agree with Toonces. Get some good-quality rest with your feet UP and use a heating should feel better then. Slow it down a little!

Of course, always call your Dr. about anything that concerns you.

My very best to you...
