Right shoulder pain, 6 days post op

Day 6, belching and shoulder pain, is this gas related?

Don't worry about the belching and gas. You just had major surgery and anesthesia and that could be a big part. Also my shoulder hurt about a week after surgery for about a week and then it occurred to me that they had secured it in a "goofy/weird" way during surgery. That should go away soon too.

Peddlerqueen - Yes it is gas related. I had more shoulder pain and belching than anything after my surgery. I was expecting abdominal gas pains like most ladies on here report but mine was all in the shoulders even with an abdominal incision. I must have burped for a couple of months after the surgery which was very odd for me as that is not the usual way I have gas if you get my drift. Moving around helps move the gas up and out. I hope this helps.

I had terrible shoulder pain the first week too. It goes away. It's from the gas they used to do the surgery and is common to any laproscopic surgery from what I understand. Hang in there!
