HRT confusion

I have been back on Premarin for about 2-1/2 weeks. I don't know how long it takes to notice side effects, but I have noticed depression and nausea. I would like to try something else, but I am so confused. I have been reading the info on this website and also a book on Natural Hormones. I have also talked to my doctor on several occasions, and she told me if I would like to try something else, to let her know. I just don't know where to start. Do I just tell her what I want to try or is she supposed to suggest something? I would really like to try either the Bio-Identical or Bio-Identical Compounded Estrogens. I could really use some help here.

If you want to try the bio-identical compounded hormones I would suggest that you locate a compounding pharmacy near you. This site has a pharmacy locator www.iacprx.org Call the pharmacy and speak with the pharmacist. The pharmacist can probably help with talking with your doctor. I have found my compounding pharmacist to be my stongest ally when it comes to me, my hormonal balance, and talking with my doctor.

Also you could call your doctor and ask her, she may already be aware of the compounded hormones. It is wonderful that your doctor is open to other options.
