I do understand the frustration...but i just started feeling okay enough to move around and straighten up the house (no vacuuming) do laundry (no lifting) and walking for long periods of time...by supper time in am moving slow and still a little achey. no more naps mid-late afternoon and going to bed now by 10pm no longer 7pm. Don't be upset we will be back to the old grind soon enough...we will look back on this time and wish we could say i just can't do XY&Z the dr. said so.
Wish you the best on your first and remaining days at work. Are you going back full days or half days?

Hope you get some rest & relaxation until it is actually time till you go back to work.

I am feeling just wonderfully -- lots of energy, a little bit of pain in the middle of the night sometimes on my left side. But other than that, I am feeling absolutely fantastic!!

Didn't think I'd make it past week two and here I am feeling better than ever!

So the next time I'll see my doc (cute as he is) will be next year for my Pap Test (kept my cervix) and Mammogram.

I am so grateful. When I think about just how sick I was prior to the surgery -- the huge fibroids, the anemia, the constant threat of another pulmonary embolism. Everything is just so different now.

My energy has fully returned. I start college (a Freshman at age 45) in a few weeks, and for the first time in a long time, I feel fully blessed.

I wish that I could take all of the positive spirit and energy I feel right now, and bottle it up, and send it off to everyone here who still isn't feeling 100%.

But keep in mind that you will!! You absolutely will get better!!!

Oh and a tip --- About 4 or 5 days after surgery I was in the supermarket and someone (perhaps an angel) whispered in my ear, "vitamin c, you need orange juice." And I've been drinking a ton of it ever since being discharged from the hospital.

And I truly credit that to helping me to HEAL FASTER!

And ONE OTHER THING: When the doctor looked at my incision today, he said that he could barely see it and no scar. How??! I've been using Black Soap since getting out of the hospital as well. And even though it stung like madness the first few weeks, I keep using it and continue to use it. And that is absolutely what I attribute the lack of a mark to.

I love all of you here and God bless!

Diva,

I am so happy that you made the decision to go back to school good for you. What are you going to major in?

Glad that you are feeling better and don't have to see your doctor again until nexyt year. I will have to try and get some black soap... thanks for the FYI

Keep up the healing

Venting and crying is important in our healing process. We all have similar experiences just different circumstances.

Pink and everhill---I have been right there with you. It is a hard journey but nothing worthwill is easy. We are on the way to feeling better. I have found I count my surgery by days not weeks. 5 weeks seems like and enternity and feels like one too. However, 35 days seems so much shorter and helps me understand that my body just can't heal in that many days. We have internal cuts some are lots of stitches and we want to keep moving around making it harder to heal. We can take it easy and I think it will be worth it. The post about taking it 15 or 30 minutes because a day is just too long. That is what has helped me a lot!
Waking up in a pool of blood must have been terrifying. Great they were able to help you get back on track. We are all hear for you. Hugs and prayers lots of them!
Let's hang in there ladies together we can do this.
Becky
I just read all the posts and I was commenting on feeling not like myself not canoeing. No canoe trips for me..My husband is so looking forward to Christmas.. I don't think I can wait that long but my belly is tender and I am protective of it. the posts about those adventures scare me it better be better then before cause that was PAINFUL. I am scared to know and excited to find out at the same time.

I waited a week and a half and then had my hysterectomy. My feet haven't been in enclosed high heels since April. I've been cleared to wear them. The foot surgeon stated that it will take a good six months before the toes are fully healed as the piggy toes are the most sensitive. WELL, I believe it now. It started out fine but by noon, my feet were screaming along with my lower back. OMG WTH!!!!! What was I thinking? Clearly nothing otherwise I wouldn't have worn them. I just wanted to wear my normal dress work clothes and feel normal. That plan went to Hades in a hand basket real quick. Sooooooooo next week, it's back to my open toed flat sandals with an arch support. Silly me, my crown must have been on too tight this morning or I got smacked in the head by everhill and tld's scepters. I try to stay clear of those two. You just never know where they are going to be waving that things.

With all that being said, I still feel mentally better, happier. I hope it continues. I still have moments of agitation and apologizing. But all in all, not too bad.

Now I'm headed to have a Starbucks with my babygirl in my flippy flops.

Hope you all have a great weekend. We have all the kids this weekend. (DH is divorced with six kids and I have two grown children, one married) Pray for me, lol. Naw, it's really not as crazy as it sounds. We are truly blessed.

Big hugs and love out to you all.
Angel

Angel, Glad that you are doing good at work. Sorry to hear about the piggy mishap put those little oinkers in a warm pail of water and relax.

Don't hate on flip flops or flat shoes they have some very stylish shoes now, I can't wear heels to long because I am flat footed and no arch what so ever.

Hugs and best wishes to you this weekend. Have fun but remember to relax you will have alot fo subjects to do things for you so no excuses of you lifting a finger.

Maybe we need a septor on the T shirt, also. can we borrow them? I think I may need my own. Everyone here is SICK of this hyst. If my sons hear their future wife needs a hyst they will probably begin to freak out from scary memories or be the best husbands ever!

Update for the day

I took my son to the mall in Pittsburgh, PA which is about a 30 minute drive which I did very well but once I got to the parking lot I had to sit in the car for about 10 minutes to rest from that drive.

I strutted my stuff in the mall like I did not have a care or pain in the world got thorugh JCPenny's, Aeropostle and Finish line and my strut turned into an old lady holding on for dear life against the rail, my son said mom it is ok I am here if you need to lean on me and I told him that I did not want to embarrass him and he stated you could never do that and if people stare I will say something for you. I told him to go to the other shoe store without me and before I knew it I had completely laid myself across the bench at the mall and dared someone to say something to me. I would have blurted out I had a uterus & cervix removal procedure done so what is your excuse. lol

I then came home and took an 800 motrin and now I will take it easy and relax the remainder of the night.

Hope everyone is doing well and try and relax over the weekend.

Hi Gals!

Just came back from getting my highlights done - woohoo, I'm loving it! Got a spring in my step and a smile on my face (well, now I'm lying down in bed, but...). The DH even noticed that something was different and I got quite the enthusiastic response...It's princess time!

Lovely weekend to all my sisters.

Angel, you poor thing!! Back to back surgeries!! Bless your heart! I'm sorry you can't wear your normal shoes. Every day is a day closer to being healed, right?

Thinking positive and taking it easy. . .

xoxo
Yes, every day is one day closer. I'm glad you are feeling more like you inside. That is so important to us and our mental state of mind. I hope you have a fantabulous weekend and rest.
Big Hugs and much love

Oh that was a good laugh, I could picture you in you 'pretty' dress trying to keep your poise!! All the while back at the lab your uterus is snickering and tee-hee'ing!! I go back to work in 3 weeks I'm hoping I can fit into my work clothes by then otherwise you may see me on the news as a flasher, when my pants fall down....my elastic band looped through the button hole is precarious at best!! lol
LOL I do have scepter envy!!!!! I was not very responsible with mine and misplaced it. God forbid if my DH found it. No telling what he thought it might be.

And yes, it started out looking very good and ended up looking like a disfigured elderly woman with curled up toes in her shoes. Goodness gracious.

I hope you have a good weekend. Rest and enjoy it. Don't think about the three weeks. Big hugs and much love.
Angel
