Anxious, but optimistic about surgery 12/3

Tomorrow (12/3) is the day I have decided to become a part of royalty. Through 11 years of on again/off again Endo pain, I have finally had enough. Everything is going!

My stay at the castle is for only 23 hours, unless there are complications. Anyone else been in for less than 24 hours? Something about being held in observation, as opposed to being admitted to the hospital. Think it must be an issurance issue.

Also, concerned because my body has never responded well to Birth control pills or the numerous other drug treatments I have received for Endo. This is so permanent. Anyone had great luck with HRT after being crowned, who had problems before?

Say a prayer and may God Bless each one of you for your support!

I am doing GREAT on my HRT......

I am taking Estratest and have had NO problems with it at all. Welll...except for the fact that I didn't read the bottle and took it on an empty stomach and it bothered me. Now, if I take it w/ food, I am fine. no hot flashes...no mod swings(WOW! Is Dh thankful for that!LOL)...feeling great just over 2 week post-op.

You are going to be there for an awfully short time. Is there going to be some one at home to be with you the first few days that you will be home? Try and have some one there with you.

You are going to do great! I really feel better than I ever have. Being a is the ~~~~~~~~ BEST~~~~~~~~~

IN HIM,

Dawn <><

23 HOURS ALSO

HI-IM SET FOR SURGERY TOMORROW ALSO. IMHAVING A LVAH/OVARY REMOVAL AND BLADDER WORK-I AM ONLY IN FOR 23 HOURS ALSO. IM HOPING THAT IF I DONT FEEL WELL ENOUGH TO GO HOME THAT THEY WILL KEEP ME- I USUALLY DONT DO WELL AFTER SURGERIES WITH ANESTESIA-ALSO I LIVE FAR FROM THE HOSPITAL. IF YOU DONT FEEL WELL ENOUGH TO GO HOME BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DR THAT-IF THE DR SAYS YOU HAVE TO STAY THEN INSURANCE WILL PICK UP THE BALANCE. GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!

I am also scheduled for tomorrow(12/3). I will be having a LAVH, A & P repairs, and a bladder sling and am told I will be in the hospital at least 2 to 3 days. I would be a bit worried myself about such a short hospital stay. My main problem is prolapse but I have had 2 laparoscopies for endo and adhesions so I don't know if I get to keep my ovaries or not. I also don't do well on hormones so am a bit uneasy, but prepared.

Good luck to all of us 12/3 princesses!!!

I am yet another who is scheduled for tomorrow... I am having a TVHBSO. They told I would be in overnight as well and then I get to go home... That scares me to death... I know if I milk it with my doctor she will give whatever I want so that is what I am planning... Taking the wait and see and on Tuesday if I feel somewhat decent then I will come home if not... I guess I will beg my doctor to let me stay...

Good luck to everyone... I hope we all recover quickly and bounce right back!!! Take care!

getting nervous

I too am going in tomorrow morning. I am getting anxious I think more about the wait once I get there than anything else. Just ready to get it over with and get on with Christmas. My Dr. said I will be in for four days, at least that is what the insurance approved so I will take advantage of that time to rest before I go home to a house teenagers have had charge of during my stay...maybe they will surprise me! Duh! Counting down the hours...

12/3 sister too!

Hello ladies,

I too will be going to the castle tomorrow morning. I have to be there at 7:30 but my surgery is at 9:30. I will be having everything removed abdominally and am having a tummy tuck.
I will be praying for you all and look forward to comparing notes when we're on the mend. I'm so glad I took time to check in here because I'm starting to feel less nervous. Thanks to all of you for your support and patience.

See you on the other side
