How long does the fleet enema take?

I was told that I could either do my bowl prep tonight, or early tomorrow morning. Early as in 6:30 or 7:00 am. I don't have to be to the castle tomorrow until 10:45 am so I'd like to do it tonight so that I can *hopefully* sleep in as late as possible tomorrow.

I got the ok to take a sleeping aid tonight (I haven't slept hardly at all the last few nights) so I need to know when I can safely take it to go to bed for the night. I was thinking about starting the enema around 9 or 10 tonight. How long does the whole process take? I obviously do not want to take my sleeping pill before I'm done!!

Any tips from the BTDT sisters?

Thanks in advance!

Re: How long does the fleet enema take?

It took maybe half an hour, from insertion to being completely empty.

Re: How long does the fleet enema take?

In the past it's only taken about 10 minutes. I check in at 9am and surgery is at 11. Surgeon told me to do the enema around 6pm. Just a little longer.

Re: How long does the fleet enema take?

Did you go at all? Have you eaten much today? I would call the on call dr before taking a second one. Give them a call and let us know what they say.

Re: How long does the fleet enema take?

I wanted to add that after researching online, I've read that it sometimes only takes one or two bms to empty your system out.
