I'm near the Bay Area. About an hour East of San Fran....

Hey sisters,

I'm from Southern California, Downtown Los Angeles. I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy on 7/18/11 and have had bladder issues since then.

where in Bay area...i'm in Pleasanton

A UTI the same day of surgery took CIPRO for 5 days that didn't help then Sulfameth 800mg for 3 days that also didn't help. Had a catheter put in 8 days after to only be removed 12 hours later in ER it was so painful I would say like giving birth with no drugs. Had a CT scan and shows severe inflammation of the bladder put on ibuprofen 800mg 3x's a day and antibiotic for the painful bladder spasms. 3 days into the meds and still no relief. I'm so fustrated, drained and now depressed with all of this I thought I would be feeling better by now.

I'm in the mountains overlooking Lake Elsinore- a lovely place to recover! what's up with this May weather?

Ybarbarena So sorry to hear about your bladder issues. I am sure I would be as frustrated as you.. I'm frustrated with the two steps forward one step back. But know it's one day at a time. I will be praying for your recovery.
Have you checked out any if the other forums or created one to see if there is anyone else experiencing what you are? Hang in there!! melissa
