post op bleeding week 3

I still have some minimal bleeding 23 days post-op. But I was feeling pretty good & overdid it Tuesday. Tuesday night I threw a nickel sized clot and some bright red blood....better today, minimal bleeding but almost feel "crampy". Had a total hysterectomy and it was a bit complicated. Anyone had similar experiences? At my 2 week post-op doctor wasn't too concerned about the bleeding. Is the cramping internal healing? Having trouble realizing that just because I look normal doesn't mean Iam healed.

Re: post op bleeding week 3

I'm 23 days post op today, and had the exact same thing happen last night/today. I hadn't had any bleeding other than the first 24 hours though, so it really took me by surprise. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Re: post op bleeding week 3

seems like this is somewhat common among those of us that aren't used to sitting still! I am soooo antsy...my husband and kids (they are 21 & 24) have been super helpful & supportive and "scolded" me for trying to do things I shouldn't have. I just am not used to feeling so helpless. Thanks for the encouragement. Good luck to you too.

Re: post op bleeding week 3

Is anyone experiencing a feeling of "pressure" on the pelvic floor? It almost feels like my cuff is going to fall out of me... as crazy as that sounds. It started tonight and even a percoset is not helping a bit.

Re: post op bleeding week 3

Yes, my pain is more like pressure than cramping. Are you bleeding/spotting too?

Re: post op bleeding week 3

No bleeding...knock on wood! I had spotting the day after surgery then it stopped and I haven't had any bleeding since. This feeling of pressure started tonight and it seriously feels like something is going to fall out of me. Freaking me out!
