As I have written many times before in this help section, I too was a smoker before by hysterectomy, and I did successful quit, and have stayed quit ever since. You can do it!!! I was a one to two pack a day smoker, for 30 years! WHen I went back into public it was actually easy to NOT smoke. I think my nervous energy and pride kept me from bumming one. If you smoke even ONE chances are you will continue. Simply, just don't do it! Keep just not smoking. It became easier and easier as time went on. I still crave on occasion, but I just don't do it!
