Should I go to a chiropractor before surgery and have an alignment? I mean do you think it will help? I am really trying to do all I can to
make this go smoothly. I have about 5 weeks until I have my surgery. Will starting an exercise program, at least walking, help? I have not been real good about taking care of myself in the past, but want to start.

I would suggest asking your doctor your questions, and check with your chiropractor. I am guessing that both plans would be fine.

Hi nanny4wheeler. If you are five weeks out pre op, then I would most definitely start a modest walking plan. It most definitely help with an easier recovery!

Good luck and take care!

I agree with jadegirl. The healthier you are prior to surgery the sooner you'll recoup. I went for a theraputic massage the afternoon before my surgery. It certainly helped me relax. Good luck.
