Finally we have a surg date! kids mentioned

Finally they called. My surgery has been scheduled for August 18th. I am sooooo nervous.

I have SO much to do to prep for leaving for work plus my little ones at home. that will be about the time school starts so i will need to have that all ready beforehand.

wow i feel relieved i have a date... nervous tho its definite and coming soon.

YAY you have a date! I personally felt more in control once I had the date, because then I was able to do all the planning and prep I needed and I knew my deadline to have it all done

Yea but i am soooooo nervous.

i mean, i had laparo kidney surgery last december. And it was rough. very painful. i also have had a c section. so i know this will hurt.

i dont even know where to begin preparing.

I'm sorry you've been through so much already, but just breath and take one day at a time . This site is filled with lots of information on how to prepare and what to take to the hospital or not. Prepare your throne chambers as you would like them to be when you return with all the things you feel would be of comfort around you. Enlist family and friends to assist as much or as little as you would like. This is your time to heal and be able to move forward from the issues that caused you to have the surgery. Take the pain medicines they give you and keep your pain under control. Don't stop too early because your afraid to take them. You will be able to wean off of them when the time is right. You are a strong woman proven by what you have already endured Ask any and all questions here...we do care here

i do worry about the pain meds. getting off of them after my kidney surgery was HORRIBLE.

im so ready to get it over with. gonna be nervous wreck for a month now. lol
