6 days post op and it itches down there; can I use vagisil or monistat 6 days post op

I had a lsh. It started yesterday. Not hurts, more of an itch. Is this part of the healing? I looked with a mirror and don't see anything particularly out of the ordinary. Should I call and ask? Regular ob is on vacation this week. I'm sure someone is covering. Love to know if you experienced this and how lond does it last?

Re: 6 days post op and it itches down there

I just had my surgery last week, but have noticed the past day or two a slight itch down there... My doc said thats ok. He said i may leak discharge also. All normal unless there is a bad odor. Id say its just begining to heal, stitches are disolving and unless theres some funky discharge and smell you should be ok.

Check with your doctor as you may have a yeast infection. If it isn't that, the doctor can tell you what it might be or if it is normal like Bigbrwneyez said.

I need to know if vagisil or monostat is ok 6 days post op lsh.

I'm going to call the Dr. on call in a little bit. They told me to go to walk in clinic cause Dr. is out all week. Just don't want to put something down there that is not ok with this type of surgery. On and off very itchy.

I would be afraid to put anything down there right now.
Ask the Dr to call you in some Diflucan pills. It is best to take one pill, and then take another after 3 days.

I am also taking Azo Yeast, an herbal supplement to help keep the yeasties away. U can get it at walmart or pharmacy with the vitamins...

You need to talk to a doctor. Nothing in the vagina during recovery means nothing--not even OTC meds.
