3 weeks post op tomorrow!

Hi friends, I felt I should post how I'm feeling 3 week in, I'm doing ok, I though I'd be doing more by now, honestly! But I don't want to mess up any internal stitches and healing, so I am trying to do what my doctor told me, which is take it easy another 4 weeks, hmmmm! I'm not sleeping very well, but that's not really new all together either, comes and goes, I am on the Vivelle patch since I awoke from surgery and I think it's doing real well, I feel queasy time to time and appetites decreased and changed , guess that's normal from patient to patient, mine was LAVH I am still sore cannot bend or lift nor want too! Took everything! I think overall I'm doing better than many had me so scared about, so don't believe all the horror stories you hear, and the hospital I was in was the best hospital experience in my life, they were there just for this and had it down to a T ! Best wishes to all

Re: 3 weeks post op tomorrow!

It has been one week since by total hysterectomy. Is anyone else experiencing episodes of feeling really hot every time you get up to do something? Is this a hot flash or something else?

HI Redheadgal!

W have the same surgery date! Glad to hear you are doing so well. If you haven't seen it yet be sure and check out the Post Op Reports for your surgery date. There are lots of other "sisters" on there reporting how they are doing and it's really nice to know you aren't alone in your recovery.

I'm feeling pretty good myself today and even returned to work today for a few hours. If I wasn't the only one that can do my job I probably would have stayed home a few more weeks but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! I was really surprised how tired I was just getting ready to go in though. Felt like I could use a nap just after that but I came home after work and took an hr nap. I'm as good as new now.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!
