Ultrasound Results
Good morning ladies! After trying since last Thursday afternoon to get my abd. ultrasound results, I finally got them this morning. Big surprise - "everything's normal". Yeah, right. Then why do I hurt so much??? How frustrating. Anyway, I go to the GI doctor on June 23rd. Will ask for a copy of this "normal" test result to take with me. The pain won't go away. Constant abdominal (period-like) cramping on the right side from the navel over to the hip and horrible lower back pain (right side).
By the way, be sure to check your wrist bands when you go in for any outpatient procedure. I had checked my name, address and social security # - here's why. The X-ray tech said "So Dr. __ ordered this test for you?" I said "Who? I've never heard of him or seen him. He's not even a doctor at the office I go to." They put the wrong doctor on my paperwork and my test results were being faxed to his office. No wonder I couldn't seem to get any answers from my doctor's office. They weren't getting the fax at all. You never know. I'll be checking everything from now on!
I'm very frustrated, but hopeful GI doctor can help me. Much love and ((hugs)) to you all, dear sisters. Especially those who are traveling down the same road. Lisa

Dear Lisa, It's hard enough living with pain, but I'm sure it's even more difficult when you can't even find the cause of the pain. I hope you get the answers you need when you see the doctor on the 23rd. Best wishes,

Thanks!
I just wanted to say thanks, dear sisters, for your support and encouragement. It really does mean a lot to me. I'm so sorry there are so many of us still suffering. Silly me, I thought having the hyst. would end the pain rather than start a downward spiral.
Many healthy, happy thoughts coming your way. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers and I'll let you know if the GI doc finds anything. Until then, I have my refill of pain med and I'll just hang in there.
Love and ((hugs))
Lisa

well i have been in the same boat as you. I had an ultra sound just to have the tech tell me it won't show anything since i have had a hyster. Well this made feel like i just wasted my insurance companies money. Turns out i had massive adhesion wrapped aroung my rectum , colon, and small intestines so i know the pain. It was suggested i see the GI doctor to but until the hyst i had never had stomach or bowel problems so i refused to see one and my new gyno said fine we will do a lap exploritory this is when he found the adhesion mind you now these will not show up on most test they can do. And the are very painful. Here is a site you can read and see if you match any of these symptoms. http://www.adhesion.org good luck

Hi,
No Matter what your ultrasound says-IF you have pain,INSIST something is wrong. I did and they did an exploratory lap and found a abcess and adhesions that had adhered my bowel and bladder together.AND THIS WAS AFTER 3 YES 3 ULTRA SOUNDS WITH RESULTS BEIN (ALL CLEAR).
Hang in there and if you have pain that don't feel right. be persistant.
LOVE,

Lisa,Sorry to hear the test didnt find the problem. I had 2 CT Scans that were normal and finally my GI Doc was the one who found the obstructions. You know your body best and dont let up til they find some answers for you. I will be thinking of you. Take Care.
