I hear ya.. I have all of these horrible thoughts going through my mind... I try not to stress over it.. but I really hope all is well in the days to come

Me too! It would be really disappointing if everything was terrible after making this huge decision that was supposed to improve my life

I had intercourse at the 6 week mark after getting my dr's okay...it wasn't exactly a "YAY!" experience...I was REALLY nervous, and my vagina got pretty sore after just a few minutes. At 7 weeks, it was a little better, and now, at 8 weeks post op tomorrow, it's fantastic!!! Just the same as before, only better I think. I don't have any pain/pressure because the huge fibroids aren't there any more. I have no problem with lubrication, and everything that "worked" before still works now. I think sometimes 6 weeks can still be a bit early to resume intercourse...but everyone is different and some people have a great time at the six week mark. BUT...if you don't...hang in there...each week it will continue to get better.

Thanks for your post. It's nice to be reminded that at 6 weeks everything isn't magically going to be all healed but there is still hope if it's not perfect the first time! I'm definately excited and nervous at the same time and still have at least 3 weeks

CONGRATS!!! Praying when I can that it will be good! It has been 6 months when it feklt right! Before my uterus was out, it was painful due to my adenoyosis! Hoping it will be better! I am 6 weeks, but have a clot and still so painful, so am going to wait 2 more weeks by my doc adivsement. I am so scared it may be painful! Happy you had an AWESOMe time! Thier is hope!

I am really nervous for that time to come too. Dont even know where we will begin as we havent made love in 2+years due to the constant pain I was in. Obviously I have a ways to go, but this post made me think. Glad so many are having positive exp.

6 weeks was okay - 8 weeks was good - 10 weeks was blow the top off of your head.

I think it's a combo of healing and comfort with your new "who-ha" that makes it better.

Had an awesome weekend with my hubby. Wasn't painful at all. I am so relieved that everything was great. I am just so amazed at how much better I feel, How much more energy I now have. Wow, Life is gonna be great!

That is great Policebound, I am almost 4 weeks out and very anxious and nervous to see how things are going to work. I have my 6 week checkup in 2 weeks and can not imagine with the way I am feeling right now being ready to have sex. I look forward to being able to post some good news on that front soon.

My doc told me just to wait 4 weeks. I had a LAVH. Did anyone else get the go-ahead after just 4 weeks?
