Tamoxifen

Hello,
I am a breast cancer survivor and I just had my uterus, cervix and one ovary removed. My oncologist suggested I stop taking tamoxifen the week before my surgery and resume taking it a week after my surgery. It's now almost two weeks since my surgery and I am dreading going back on the tamoxifen because I hate how it made me feel before the hysterectomy. I am worried about how I will feel when i start taking it again. Has anyone had experience with this? Thank you.

Re: Tamoxifen

We're very glad you've joined and hope you'll benefit from the wealth of information and support here.

Princess Ruby has linked our Post-Op Page above, which is packed with information, and also the Post-Op Support Forum where you’ll find all the other ladies recovering from surgery. Please don’t hesitate to start a new thread there (just as you did here) so they can share their experiences if you’ve any general recovery concerns.

For support related to Tamoxifen, however, you're more likely to get replies in our <link> Breast Health forum. Please feel free to start a new thread there where others can share their experiences.

Sending all good wishes and positive thoughts as you continue to heal!
