6 weeks post op

I had my Lap August 30, 2011 and kept both ovaries. I did not have fibroids or even cysts which is unusual. Before this procedure I had the uterine ablation which stopped the heavy bleeding but let me with a lot of pelvic pain. My doctor wanted me to take birth control bills so that I wouldn't have any periods but the pills made me sick. Anyway I was taking strong narcotics just to deal with the pain every month. Needless to say I had had enough. I went back to my doctor and she suggested a partial hysterectomy and referred my to another doctor that could do it laproscopically. I was told that the pain would never get better it would only get worst because of the blood that was trapped in the scar tissue after the ablation. Anyway I had my procedure and now I am 6 weeks post op and feeling great. I never had any measureable amount of pain and I followed my doctors orders. This included getting plenty of rest, no lifting, or straining. We did not initially talk about diets but I choose to eat a little healthier and that seemed to work for me. I was able to return to work in 4 weeks which was a little shocking to mind to say the least.
