Is it just me? Fibroids, bad cramps and heavy bleeding
My aunt told me about this site and how much it helped her. I have fibroids and have been having VERY bad cramps and heavy bleeding recently. The heavy flowing had stopped a couple of years ago after a DNS, but its back again, but this time with bad cramping on the right side of my stomach. Moltrin 800's aren't even helping. I went to a specialist and was told nothing really needed to be done unless I want something done since the fibroids are still there but haven't grown much. This is frustrating and confusing. I might go months without nothing and then the bleeding and cramps comes to make up for lost time. HELP!!
I had cramps so bad, mostly on my right side for two nights in a row that nothing I took helped. I kept taking Moltrin 800s but they wouldn't stop the throbbing pain. Would the pain be due to fibroids that I have? My doctor said my uterus is about the size of a 4 month pregnancy, which isn't as large as others I've talked with.
It could be any number of things. I would think it was something related to ovulating, because it sounds like what happens for me when I'm ovulating. It could also be endometriosis. I don't have experience with fibroids (that I know of), but those other two things I'm a seasoned veteran with and it sounds a lot like those.
You should go to gyn and or er. Is this still happening now? Is your pain tollerable? You may just be experiencing pain due to that but maybe you need a stronger pain med right now like vicodin.
I had endo and all, and I knew what problem was but sometimes had to go to gyn and or er cuz pain was sooo bad they would give me iv meds and send me home with pain meds and also check to make sure nothing else was going on.
keep us updated sweetie. Hope you feel better
you could call your gyn office since its after hours see if they call in something for you or if they want you to go in to er and or in morning.
I am sorry you are dealing with this. Perhaps you can get a second opinion from another specialist to see what they say. Hopefully some one else on this site will respond who has had a similar experience.
If the fibroids are affecting your quality of life and have driven you to this site out of frustration, then there must be something that can be done to alleviate your problems. Hysterectomy might not be the answer, but there are others.
Pain and excessive bleeding are problems that can lead to other problems - I suffered from severe anemia and was on the brink of needing a transfusion. Others here have bled to the point of requiring transfusions. It's serious business and you need a health care professional that takes it seriously. I went through 3 before I found one.
I had fibroids on my uterus one the size of a golf ball I didnt even know about. I had a hysterectomy due to cervical dysplasia. Talking with my doctor we believe I didnt have the heavy bleeding or cramping due to the fact I was on birth control pills. I dont know if you have been on the pill or if it is an option but you might ask your doctor about them or if you seek a second opinion, which I would if I were you, your symptoms are affecting your quality of life and that makes it an issue. I wish you the best of luck!
