No Regrets

I got a hysterectomy due to repeated uterine pollips and 2 D&C. I had very heavy and painful menstral cycles. I was scared but went for it. BE CAREFUL to discuss with doctor thoroughly and read surgery papers carefully. Woman at doctor put me down for a total hyst. instead of partial. My overies are healthy and if I had not paid attention they would have took them. I had a lot of pain after the surgery and had to spend an exta day in the hospital. It took a full 6 weeks to recover fully. I was terrified to ever have sex again. I actually thought all the pleasure of sex would be gone after the surgery. I have to say it is has been great since. Many of my PMS left and no more painful heavy menstral cycles. Since I kept my overies I have not yet gone through menapause. My bladder incosistencey actually got better because I believe the uterus was putting a lot of pressure on my bladder. And I am happy to report that all my fears about sex were unfounded. It has been 7 years now and sex since the surgery has been better then it ever was before the surgery.
