Da Vinci partial hysterectomy

My surgery was on the 15th at 10:00am. They don't tell you that you will have two IV's for the surgery and I am not a fan of needles. But my nurses were awesome and took the best care of me. I did get sick from the anesthesia even with nausea medicine. That part kinda hurt. I came home the next morning and I was just pretty much sore. This is my second day home and my belly is a little swollen. But the the help of a heating pad and rest it's not that hard to walk around today. I'm still moving slow but making laps in the house. Have to get up and move so blood clots don't form. And I have phlem in my chest that tries to settle and the more I move and take deep breaths it helps clear it up. I do have some muscle spasms when I sleep. They wake me up so I'm hoping for those to go away. Still no bowel movement but I am taking stool softness and drinking plenty of water. Good luck to you out there that are recovering.

Re: Da Vinci partial hysterectomy

Welcome to the other side Cynthia! Glad to hear you're doing well. I didn't have a bm until my 4th day post op, some ladies around a week. Just don't push it. Remember to rest up, and drink lots of water. That will help with the bm issue too.
