Who has experience with bio-identical hormones?

I am 49, had LSO 7 years ago, abdominal hysterectomy 3 months ago and left remaining ovary in. Have developed hot flashes, memory loss, agitation and no libido. Am interested in bio-identical hormone therapy, but don't know where to start.

Re: Who has experience with bio-identical hormones?

Have you talked with your DR yet? That would be a good first step. There are many types of bioidentical HRTs, and your DR may have experience prescribing them.

Re: Who has experience with bio-identical hormones?

Was perimenopausal and had taken Zoloft for mood swings, night sweats etc. Changed to bioidentical HRT cream and discontinued Zoloft. It was clear in a short time that my problem was hormone levels! Left Zoloft and side effects behind and felt 100% better on bioidentical HRT. After ~3 years moved to bioidentical hormone pellets and had positive outcome with those as well. I think that you will find bioidentical HRT will address all of your symptoms. Definitely improved quality of life for me...and I had 2 teenage daughters in my house! Mom found calm!!!
