DaVinci...aside from vaginal cuff are there sutures internally?

Additionally there should be stitches that attach the vagina to the ligaments that held the uterus in place. This is done to prevent future vaginal prolapse.

I am three weeks post op and spent a day in the ER because a cauterized spot burst, causing massive blood loss. I was at work and this was easily the scariest experience of my life. I'm having lots of pelvic pain and on bed rest for the next several days. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was told that we have about 100 or so internal stitches just like a regular hysto but that the da vinci method is the way you access it from the outside. Instead of being cut from side to side, we have 4 small incisions but everything else is the same.

generally it ranges from 30 -300+ depending on what else they have done i had tah and ive got approx 200 . I found this info in old pages on this site and my doc confirmed. One lady had 600, no wonder we take so long to heal x
