Happy New Year Sunday Jan 1st 2012

Everyone!

Did not think I was going to make midnight as I was exhausted from cooking and chasing my nieces around. I feel so old. But I managed to stay awake and enjoy a toast with family.

I did okay with food yesterday. Not too much snacking, but was also feeling sniffly and congested. My one niece has a very bad cold. I took some comtrex before bed. Doing a little better today. is still bad.

Dinner today will be ham <turkey ham for me> cabbage, black eyed peas and sweet potato casserole. I've got everything prepped and ham is in the oven.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Can't believe it is 2012. Seems like the Y2K scare was just yesterday.

Re: Happy New Year Sunday Jan 1st 2012

Happy New Year Kim, and the rest of the BEST following!

Weird sleeping last night...dozed off before midnight, woke in time for midnight, then to bed...then the phone rang at 1-something...so was awake awhile. No napping today - trying to get on a schedule!

Food has been okay - easing back into my "normal". Now to get back to tracking!
Plan to do an exercise video in a bit...
Enjoy your week all!

Re: Happy New Year Sunday Jan 1st 2012

Happy New Year everyone! Kim, I'm with you - pooped. And I did not actually do anything yesterday other than review how busy the previous ten days were and how I have to find a way to handle each individual in the family. And yes, the Y2K scare was 12 years ago - seems like yesterday.

Kim, I hope you enjoyed your New Year's Day meal. Sounds

DH had his turnip greens and I had salad and yogurt and cereal, with chocolate in between. I did not like the flavor of the hot fudge and had to work on it to make it edible. It may end up going to the pigs, although in the end it was pretty good. I have no further interest in it

Ali, what a bummer to have a phone call in the middle of the night, unless it was a welcome call. We frequently get wrong numbers after we go to bed and that's not good since we get up early. I did not sleep well last night, though, was kind of reeling from the earlier stress. So I'm off to bed now.

I feel like I am almost back in the groove. Had a good walk with and other than the I ate pretty well with plenty of fruits and veggies. tomorrow will be a good day, more fruit and veggies and yogurt and cottage cheese for protein. Also I'm hoping that Cooper will again be willing to walk with me. He is such a weird dog, so sweet, but so strange. He dug up a treat he had buried a few days ago and gave it to me. I knocked the dirt off but he did not want it. So I washed it up and made it almost good as new and he turned his nose up at it. That might be why he buried it in the first place He's a good boy. Not a player, but a good snuggler once I fall asleep.

So onward with 2012, let this be the BEST year ever!
