4 and 1/2 weeks post hysterechtomy, cystocele, rectocele and TVT bladder sling

Hi! I'm new here and this is my 1st post! Been reading alot on this site and I really love it! So heres my story. I am 35, had a laproscopic hysterechtomy on Nov. 16th, Nov. 30th had a vaginal cystocele, rectocele and TVT sling done. A week later was feeling fine and over did it! Started bleeding, went to hospital and ended up having another surgery to repair 3 tears on Dec. 14th. So I am now about 4 and 1/2 weeks since the last surgery. I am trying to move around more and do light housework and such, but I get tired so easily! I haven't even ventured out to a store yet because I'm afraid still because of what I did last time! I looked at myself down there and I do still have some stitches that have not dissolved. I also have a tiny bit of whitish discharge when I move around more. I am assuming thats cuz all the stitches are not gone and it will stop when I am 100% healed. Also feel some pressure down there when I'm up too much. Just wondering if this is all normal and when I will feel like myself again! It seemes to be taking forever and I just want my life back! Thanks for listening and I would appreciate any of your similar stories and opinions. Thanks!!

Re: 4 and 1/2 weeks post hysterechtomy, cystocele, rectocele and TVT bladder sling

It will take a while to bounce back. You had a lot of work done and the repairs were only done a month ago. I had my hyst a month ago and am still dragging but feeling better.

It does seem like forever but make sure you take it easy so you don't overdo it again. I still feel some pressure if I'm walking or sitting too long and I still randomly have a bit of discharge so most likely what you are experiencing is pretty normal.
