Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Jan 16-Jan 22,2012

Hi everyone! I went for my abdominal/pelvic Cat scan today. I don't have any results yet, but all went well with the test itself. I think I probably have several problems, because my stomach really hurts all over. The things the Dr. suggested to try for 2 days didn't help--pain is the same. They say if something was left in me I would have a fever and never would have been able to walk, so that it is relief at least. I will keep everyone posted and I thank everyone for their concern! I feel for all the women getting repeated bladder infections and I can understand the frustration and regretting the surgery. I too, have my moments of doubt. Unlike many women who were suffering with pain and excessive bleeding, I was totally fine. I just went for a routine ultrasound and found out I had hyperplasia with atypical cells. Everyone kept saying it could lead to cancer, so I was afraid to risk it. But who really knows? So far I have had a poor recovery. Happy Easter and Passover to all and get some rest everyone!!

Ready, I hope that bladder infection goes away soon. ONce was on Cipro for an ear infection. It worked great. Jeszucs, glad you're doing better and feeling energy coming back. I've been more energetic but get tired easily and still huge swell belly but in good spirits. Laura: I hope you're feeling better soon. Danni thanks for being such a cheerleader for us! Happy Easter ladies!

Ready and Fifty, keep fighting! I hope you both are on the road to recovery. I wonder how Laura is doing on her cruise!

I was excited that I wore my jeans all day without feeling a scratchy tummy; I'm very tired but it has been a busy week.

Happy Easter!

Has anyone had lots of good sized bubbles in their urine? I have had them for a couple of weeks now along with cloudiness. I have never had this before. It's so strange. Probably nothing but I thought I would ask.

Antibiotics are making me nauseous and exhausted.

Wishing you all a happy Easter! Have some fun for me!

I haven't had any bubbles, but it sounds more like water flowing through something, or around something..does that make any sense?

Laura - Ha ha! here I thought you were off having a good time. At least you can be looking forward to it! Are you feeling any better?

How are you ladies doing? Did everyone have a good Easter? I'm still the most swelly belly from overdoing this last week so may call my doctor on Monday to make sure this is normal. It's more swelly than ever. But other than that and being a bit sore still, I really enjoyed relaxing in the backyard today. Beautiful weather. Hugs to you all!

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Jan 16-Jan 22,2012

I got my Cat Scan results today & everything was negative. Naturally I am relieved nothing serious turned up but still wondering why I am suffering so much and am so distended. The gastro Dr. said I should go back to my surgeon so I go in a few days. Dr. said that adhesions don't show up on a CAT scan, but the obstructions they cause would.I did read a post on another hysterectomy website where a woman said she had all kinds of tests that came back negative (CAT scan among them) but only when she had exploratory surgery they found out it was adhesions. I am avoiding another surgery at all costs, but this pain is really bad. Also wondering about nerve regeneration. Have lots of pulling and stabbing pains that are really bad. CT scan showed nothing where the DR. said it felt hard and seemed worried. He said maybe that is where the port was put in. Guess I'll just have to wait and see..

Ready, I saw your post about the urine bubbles. I got that twice today and noticed bigger stitches coming out in the toilet, so I am hoping it is a sign of further healing. Take care everyone!

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Jan 16-Jan 22,2012

Thanks for the bubbles comments. I looked it up online and it said it could be protein in the urine (I don't think I have this), a UTI or kidney issue or fissure. Very interesting.

Antibiotics aren't working. The pain is still the same and urine is still cloudy. Still have a couple of days to go. I feel as though I have been down this road so many times.

50, I know what you mean about not wanting another surgery. I am glad your results were negative. What is your next step to resolve the pain?

Laura, glad you are doing better!
