4 days out from TVH and Bladder sling

I am home after a TVH and bladder sling. The recovery has been going o.k. My struggle has been with the percoset. It does not agree with me. Mostly dizzy, nausea. Yet, not taking it is not really an option. I decided to go through with both due to feeling exhausted every month with the fibroids and the incontinence. I had to be on blood thinners due to factor V leiden deficiency and had to wear compresssion stockings and the inflatables post op. I continue to give myself 1 shot of lovenox a day to prevent too much clotting. And I have 3 days of cipro due to the bladder sling to get through. I have to write down all the meds and times just to keep them all straight. The best advice was from a nurse in the hospital about shifting positiongs while laying down. She promoted bending the knees and moving slowly while breathing. I took a down throw with me for the ride home from the hospital and found this to work well rather than a pillow pet. Just another option. I am hoping for a bowel movement soon as the meds tend to slow things down. I have had some discomfort but doing o.k. Walking and drinking water along with deep breathing are essential to recovery. I hope others are doing well. I agree that waiting is the hardest part its nice to be on the other side. The support from others has really been helpful during this process.
Take care, rest, and allow yourself to recover!!
