Endo Recurrance

I had a TAH/BSO due to Endometriosis and Hyperplasia in July 2001 and was put on Prempro immediately afterword. I just went back to my Doc in December for pain, similar to endo pain. He thinks I have a recurrance of Endo and asked me to stop taking the HRT, as this will help diagnose the Endo due to loss of estrogen in teh body. I stopped taking the pills on Dec 26 and since Dec 30 have had problems with Diareha. I can live with the Hot Flashes and insomnia but is this a result of not taking the HRT or of it exiting my system? If you can help in anyway it would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you

Marie

Endo Recurrance

Hi Marie!

I'm sorry I don't have any personal experience with endometriosis or HRT but there are several ladies here who have experience with this.

I'll try to round one up for you who will probably be able to offer quite a bit on help on the subject.

I wish you the best and hope you'll be able to find some relief.

{{hugs}}

Endo Recurrance

I too suffer from endo. Estrogen will reactivate any endo that was missed. I have lots of experience with recurring endo. I just had a BSO (4 Dec) and my doc will only give me progesterine because she does not want to take a chance on reactivating the endo. She says after 3 to 6 months we can start estrogen. It also makes a difference if your endo was excised or lasered. If it was lasered, definitely don't take the estrogen.
