Fibroids, diet and exercise

When I first heard of my fibroids I purchased an on line book on how to get rid of fibroids through a natural healthy diet, exercise and generally looking after yourself better. It seemed a very tall order to make those radical changes, eliminating all the usual "junk" from my diet and I must confess I didn't get much beyond reading about it.
I wonder if anyone has tried much harder down this road and can report encouraging things? Any positive responses might give me a kick I need in that direction.

Re: Fibroids, diet and exercise

Dear Henrietta:

Here is a link to the Fibroids section of our Link Directory: http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/lin...=browse&cid=26 .

I don't recall seeing any members post here that they have had success reliving their fibroid symptoms through diet & exercise, but I am sure your body will benefit from it in other ways.

I hope you are able to find the right answers soon. I am sending huge cyberhugs

Re: Fibroids, diet and exercise

For the past year I've been working very hard on losing the weight gained after my tubal. I lost 60 lbs, gave up processed foods and soda. I exercise 4-5 times a week. It was only when I got in better shape that my fibroids came to my attention! I noticed because my periods got worse and my stomach did not shrink with the rest of me. SO I wouldn't put much stock in that solution.

Hi Shutterbug,

Thanks for the insight. Well done you on such marvellous weight loss I've lost alittle weight myself-maybe a stone and a half, and I've noticed the stomach hasn't changed much either.
