steristrips

My vertical incision for tah/bso is being held together by steristrips. The nurses said to leave on for 2 weeks. One of the doctors said a week was enough.

Anybody experienced with these things? Does it hurt to remove them?

steristrips

Hi 3Ravens !

I also had steri strips. My Dr. said to leave them on until they fell off "naturally". I think that was pretty close to two weeks.

Hope this helps !

steristrips

I had steri strips put on my bikini incision the day I left the hospital. The nurse told me they'd just come off when ready...but those little buggers held on tight. I started taking them off at 3 weeks - in the shower when they were good and wet. Took two off the first time - one on each side since my incision was healed better on the outside...but waited for a few more days before removing the remaining ones from the middle...again - in the shower.

It didn't hurt when they were all wet.

I also had steri strips. Dr. said to let them come off naturally, blot while in the shower. She removed what was left at 2 wk. appt. It did not hurt coming off. Incisions were clean and looked great!

Steri Srips

Hello there

All i ever had was steri strips. My Dr and nurse that discharged me said 7-10 days. They both also said that when the Steri strips started to pull away from the skin (which was day 7) I would know when to pull them off. I ended up removing them all by day 9. My incision is healing wonderfully. I can not hardly even see the scar

Take care
