Questions about daVinci Hysterectomy

Hello ladies, I am scheduled to have a daVinci hysterectomy on February 24th and would like to hear from others who have had this surgery. I am getting really nervous as it gets closer and I am wondering exactly what all happens with the surgery and recovery. As far as I know I will be having a complete hysterectomy.

Re: Questions about daVinci Hysterectomy

Hi there! I had the da Vinci surgery on 1/26. If you go to the "hysterctomy stories" I think it's called there is a section about da Vinici surgeries and I just posted my entire story there that you can read about. It is quite long actually. But I can tell you this, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm 3 weeks post op today and feel great. Still get tired now and then but otherwise no real pain. I wish you luck! If you have any questions you can always private message me if you'd like.

Re: Questions about daVinci Hysterectomy

I had the Da Vinci also. Had uterus and cervix removed. Still have one ovary. Over all I feel ok. Still some soreness and little pinches here and there but generally ok.

Best wishes to you..

Re: Questions about daVinci Hysterectomy

I had the Da Vinci also, and was amazed by it. I have three little scars on my abdomen, and had a very easy healing time.

Re: Questions about daVinci Hysterectomy

Hi, I had the Davinci 5 weeks ago!! The first week your sore, but your pain meds should help. Each day/week that goes by you'll feel better, some days better than others. I was really tired & it didn't take much for me to be worn out on days I was up & busy (in weeks 3-4).

I feel so great right now! Its almost hard to believe I had surgery less than 6 weeks ago. Good luck to you!!
