I have a celebration today! I'm wearing jeans!! lol. And I caught myself dancing to a song I like on the radio! I only took yoga pants with me on my recovery trip and haven't tried jeans on until today. I was afraid they wouldn't fit, but they do. I didn't lose or gain any weight, I'm right back where I started.

HAPPY FRIDAY SISTERS!

I hope you all have plans to pamper yourselves and to rest this weekend! I know I do! Please continue the great job you're doing by sharing your news and experiences. So many of our sisters out there need someone to commune with over their surgeries. You warm my heart with love and admiration when I see you supporting each other the way you do.

Singlechick got into her jeans. Yea!

I just realized I have a problem--a very NICE problem. I finally felt good enough to haul clothes out of the closet and try them on. They're too big! The only problem is, I broke the bank last year buying clothes to hide my confusing middle-age spread. I had no idea it really WAS my growing uterus causing that "pregnant look."

I certainly can't complain about losing a big, poochy tummy, but I think I'm going to have to invest in belts, or maybe suspenders!

I hope some of the other fibroid/adeno ladies have a similar outcome. Makes the surgery and recovery pains worth it when something nice like this happens!

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Feb 20-Feb 26,2012

Day 32 post op and doing okay considering with the LAVH. I still have a slight pinching feeling in my left ovary - the internal ultrasound showed nothing but it's weird none the less.

I think I am having a phantom period..or some sort of hormone thing going on...just 'felt' like a period was there but nothing.

I have had another set back...last night I went from sitting at a dinner table to stand up and felt my right knee tighten up and had a spot that was very sore and painful. As the night progressed it got worse and by 2am I was in awful pain where it felt like I had an ice pic stuck inside my knee. (I had knee surgery to repair and remove meniscus Sept 6 2011(...went to the ortho speciailst today and she thinks I tore my meniscus again..sending me in for a special MRI T3 tonight. I just sat in her office and cried. This may mean ANOTHER surgery if the results show another tear. I cant do another surgery...
I've missed so much work with my knee last fall and then from my LAVH and now a potential another surgery??!!

This is taking its toll on me - emotionally I'm wearing down where I am really a fighter but it's just been one thing after another and I cant seem to catch a break...sorry guys..I'm just really struggling right now - thanks for listening.

I got a very warm welcome from my co-workers and they make sure I'm not overdoing it. I guess I will be napping after work until I get used to it.
Happy Friday to you all!
yea the swelly belly can get REALLY swollen with more activity..I had it so bad one night i couldn't button the bottom two buttons on my XL pj top and my elastic pants were stretch to the max...it looked like I was 6 months pregnant. Dr said it was normal to swell with more activity and eventually the swelling gets less and less.

I get sore spots from time to time *usually from activity or sitting to long - each day gets better... I've been working since week 2 1/2 so this ended my second week and yes - I go home at night crash and dont move until morning...weekends I take it easy...avoid thinking I'm working and I can now do housework...just ease back into it!

Warm welcomes are nice aren't they??

Thanks for sharing. It's good to know I'm not alone is this. 2nd day of work today and it was better. I'm not as tired as yesterday.
Stay strong!

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Feb 20-Feb 26,2012

Well ladies, its been 4 weeks and two days, and besides going back on anti-biotics for a nasty bladder infection that will not clear up, I'm back to 50% of my health and energy. Just taking it easy; tore a stitch 1 1/2 weeks ago, trying to help husband shop, regret and extreme pain for two days, followed by spotting for 24 hours. Back on the track of healing. HRT is working well for me, already thinking of reducing my dosage.
Confident in my decision, feeling much better than most of last year.
