Timeline for sex?

My doctor is making me wait until my check up to have sex, which isnt scheduled until almost 8 weeks post-op. He also has forbidden any sort of outer-course fun until 4-6 weeks.

Has anyone else been put on this strict of a schedule?

What sort of time frames were you given?

Re: Timeline for sex?

No sex OR outercourse for a complete 8 weeks pending my post op results..

Small price to pay to make sure I am healed correctly.. I actually plan on tacking on a few extra weeks to make absolute sure

rxdiva07,
I'm with you! The wait is killing me and I'm only 12 days post-op!

Why are they making us wait so long? My external incisions are healed and looking really good. Do internal incisions take longer to heal?

Yes it does especially if you've had your cervix removed like myself. The vaginal cuff could rip and you'll basically have to start over. I'm (we're) being very careful. I know in the end it will be worth the wait!

Re: Timeline for sex?

sitches might have healed but you could possibly still do damage by tearing stitches my philosphy is u only heal right once so the longer i wait the more i am healed, this was my dhs idea as welll as mine, and to be blunt...am gagging! Lool but will be worth waiting for knowing there will be minimal risk of damage as opposed to a possible setback and more months of waiting (my virginity is creeping back lol) just my opinion tho xx
