4wks TAH post op

Hi this is my 1st time posting, although I've been browsing the site at least a year before I decided to have my hysterectomy. My TAH hysterectomy was Jan 25, 2012 @ 9:10 am. Today I am 4weeks out. After having heavy bleeding and missed periods and very bad back pain and a prolapsed uterus for over a year. The time had come to take care of this problem. My left ovary was removed due to having a 9cm tumor on it. I kept my right ovary. I had fibroids and my uterus was 5 times it's normal size and adenomyosis. My recovery has gone quite well and I'm so glad I finally decided to have the surgery done. I had a vertical incision due to size of uterus and 22 staples that was removed 9 days later. Steri strips were then put on and I was told I could remove them 5 days later. Today I am experiencing pain to the left side of navel, maybe I've overdone it by picking my 9mth granddaughter up a couple days ago. Happy healing to all my fellow sisters out there...remember to:follow Drs orders.
