Finally have a date

After having my scheduling appointment postponed I met with my doc Monday, asked her all of the questions I could think of and you all suggested (thank you), and today I was called with the surgery date April 4, 2012. I was planning on running a 10k race May 12, but I would rather have this taken care of and not have to wear a pad everytime I leave the house "just in case".

Doctor is planning on LSH, but due the location of my fibroid (front near bladder) she is not discounting having to cut if she can not get a clear view of the bladder and all that goes with it (don't want to make any mistakes here). I am praying that major cutting will not have to be done.

I am relieved to finally have a date now the planning can begin.

Having to go through this ordeal is no fun, but it's good to know you have your date, you can plan accordingly to get all your ducks in a row and have a doctor who seems very good about explaining things and answering your questions. One step at a time, right?
