My progress and my story of the 17lb tumor

Hi Ladies ! I am 3 weeks post op and feeling like a new person already. My story is a brief but crazy one. I am 41 and was experiencing " bloating " my Ob-Gyn said peri menopausal and sent me on my way. My Primary Doc was concerned at the amount of bloat in my belly so sent me for an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed a mass on the right ovary. 2 days later I was in the CAT SCAN machine and viola the 17lb beast showed its head. The radiologist handed me a written " cancer " diagnosis. My primary doc cried when he got the result. Off to the oncologist I went that very day. 5 days later a total open abdomen was happening. No other way to get this thing out !! Suffice to say I was carrying a bowling ball sized tumor around for sometime. I am now 3 weeks post op and resting. I was able to walk upright and straight from day 1. My husband, mother and friends have been angels and are taking care of me like professionals. I look forward to being totally mended as the other female parts had tumors, cysts and polyps besides this beast they removed. All pathology reports came back benign and sadly the radiologist jumped the gun with the diagnosis. Never was I happier a doctor was wrong
