March 8th is the date. (kids mentioned)

Yesterday I got the call finally.

March 8th is my date.

I go in on March 5th (Monday) for my pre op tests. Everyone is in hyper gear as I was told I would get two weeks notice but only got one week.

Oh there is so much to do. I have to pre bag the cats food (he eats raw), get all the guinea pig bedding ready, fill the turtles tank and get his feed schedule ready for my mom. The kids wont be too bad but my mom wants a list of food they will eat.

The only thing I am worried about is I am just getting over a horrible case of bronchitis. I'm over the worse of it but I am still coughing junk up. I'm worried they wont accept me.

I am going to write out my questions for the pre op testing day so I will know more. I've got my list of items to bring and most are packed.

My mom is coming down the 6 or 7 at the latest. She's staying with me for about 2 weeks or more if needed which will really help with the kids and pets.

So much to think about so little time. I have my bedroom to scrub down, laundry to do and so much more. So much for thinking I had tons of time still.

Make a list; it will help you get things straight in your head and help you remain calm. At least about what you need to do

I had three weeks notice and even with only 4 days left, the wait has been hard. Keeping busy helps keep you mind off things.

Good luck to you!

I had 5 days notice. That is pretty rough with 4 kids under the age of 9. So I did what some of these other ladies recommended, I made a list. Mine had two columns because the timing was so short. The "must do" and the "hopefully can get to". Good luck in your preparation and with your surgery!

Oh I'm on pins and needles, today is my pre op testing, I've been fighting a cold and its 98% gone. I've been rushing around the house trying to keep myself busy. My MIL is coming to pick me and my two boys (19months and 4.5 yrs). Shes going to drop me off at my appointment and then once its done I walk a few blocks to my husbands school and wait a little for him to get off school.

But AHHHHH....

If I don't pass my tests I will have my date pushed, which I DO NOT WANT. I've been waiting over 3 months for this. To have it so close and to know there is a possibility it could be pushed, I just want to cry. I will post and let you all know how it goes later today.
