6 weeks post op today, and I feel pretty good. Went to the dr today for my 6 week post op visit and he gave me the green light to go back to my normal activites as tolerated. I am very exicted that I can actually have sex now. Still nervouse it might hurt. Up until this past week I had felt pretty crummy, then all of a sudden I felt good. I was actutally able to do something and not regret for the next 3 days. Hope I am on the road to normal.

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Mar 05-Mar 11,2012

So for me today is 6wks post op..ive tried following all the do's and dont's most of the time..i went bk to work just before 5wks post op as needed the money and really needed to get outta the house to have me time..Felt soo cooped up in the house and love my man, but he's home too as he was let go from his pt job, soo really felt good to have time away..I have multiple jobs and let go of one of them to get more rest and healing..I have concerns of something not being right in my left side as a few weeks back i had a gut wrenching, screaming pain like vice grips in there which lasted bout half hour, and every once in a while i get the pains and pulling on that side, so will find out at my gyno appt in May..I still have stitches poking out from my belly button, so i guess my insides are still healing, i dont know, as thought all my stitches should be disolved by now..I also still have tender spots on diff part of abdomen, feels like bruising but there is no visible bruise to see on the outside???And ugh still having gas and bm issues, but ime relating that to history of IBS...So well my hope is that all is well with how ime healing, and ime still trying to be careful at work, but thats near impossible as my job requires lifting, pulling, pushing, straining,,we have an extra girl on right now who is taking over the heavy duties for me, but a couple times during my shift i do end up doing some of the heavies that i shouldnt be doing,,its frustrating and also its just plain routine and habit at work so i forget as well,,but then i remember when i get a pain or feeling of fatigued and sore,,,one thing i did notice after awhile of moving around is that my hips get achy and sore, andi feel pressure in my lower parts and when that happens i sit down for a bit...Well thats a bit about my 6wks post op..i did post my 6wks in the start new thread section, but i think i was supposed to just add it in here with my recovery time frame..so if its double posted please forgive me,,this is such a huge site and so many places to look at and post info,,so i hope i got it right this time...Well ladies here's to healing as the days go by...Peace be with you all

You girls are so much nicer than I am it seems...lol!! While I have respect for doctors I am pretty upfront about letting them know this is MY body!! I expect to know exactly what they are planning to do and with the knowlege docs have today there is no reason to inflict pain. I absolutely love my gyn/surgeon and he tells me I'm bossy and demanding....he also told me he would rather have patients like me than those who don't speak their mind leaving him to wonder if they are pleased with his services or not....

Da Pain, Da Pain !

Sneaky recovery, yes.
Felt alright to go to Pharmacy for Blood Pressure MEds.
1/2 hr by bus,
Bus hit a large bump,
I was standing, Felt as those my insides were coming apart.

Not a happy camper, today.

Maybe, by Saturday or Friday, pain will subside.

6 weeks today, No word from Doctor.

Not exactly looking forward to seeing him.

I am STILL smoking, This is SO stupid of me.

Half a pack per day.

argh.

Hope you gals are doing well !

I will be 6 weeks post-op tomorrow. I have been outside cutting grass with a self-propelled lawnmower and I am feeling it. I still have stitches that haven't dissovled. I am enjoying working 1/2 days. Got almost two more weeks of this before returning to doctor. I will not be overdoing tomorrow.

I said this exact thing today to my doctor and my hubby. I felt crummy up until Monday morning. I woke up and suddenly felt much better. Weird isn't it??

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Mar 05-Mar 11,2012

Hey ladies. Today was my 6 week post-op appointment and it went well. I am all healed and cleared for everything. The only really important bit for me is to be cleared for exercise. I am so out of shape and am really excited to be active again. My parents and I went out to eat to celebrate and apart from a little incident with too much noise (autism can be a pain in loud public places) everything went great. I feel so much better than I did before the surgery. I have no regrets and am ready to start my life again. Happy healing to all of you!
