I was craving it big time and after having a giant salad of organic mixed greens for supper last night and again for lunch today....results! Other than that, I still feel quite sore, crampy, pinchy. I just want to move without my pillow pet to guard me, or letting out a deep breath. When it is time to take my meds my body knows it before I look at the time.
Anyone elae cry in their sleep? I doze off and wake up with tears streaming down my face and my hubby has no idea what to do with me. Must be the pain?
Well, ladies, keep eating healthy, drink lots of water, and take you pain meds. I am right here where you are. Especially if you had TAH. Makes my 4 previous c sections seem like a walk in the park!
I agree about the c sections being a walk in the park! I had 3 so I'm borderline expert in that field! I don't wake up crying but I sure have cried alot today while I was awake! I think it's lack of hormones! Both of my ovaries are gone! Hope this gets better!

I kept my ovaries, but was on bc pills for 8 months straight without the monthly break. I took them right up until a day before surgery. So maybe my ovaries are in a state of shock! Otherwise, I am not having hot flashes or feeling overly emotional. I wonder if it's just my mind/body getting rid of the stress while I sleep. It'!s just weird. Sorry you didn't get to keep your ovaries!

I'm hoping I did the right thing by removing them! They were covered in scar tissue and the pain shot down both thighs. I'm hoping the pain will be gone! No hot flashes for me either so far!

wow, over doing it really sucks, altho Im not sure what I did, to over do it, but painful belly, but not down the bottom, at the top of my belly, couldnt lie on my side, and I sleep on my side, think I might have over done the stool softeners, cause I went, and went , and went, maybe thats why I was so sore....lol..... I dont really have any pain in my lower belly, it feels normal, well better then 'normal'..., I just thought I'd have to be really sore down below, I feel like I could head back to work and get back on with life, yes Im abit slow getting up and down.
anyone else feeling like this, or is it about to kick my butt.....

and I'm one lucky women as well, my husband has been awesome, and my daughter , looking after me

so happy to hear about the POOP😄 I had my TAH on 3/6/12 and was stressed about the BM until it happened a couple days ago-- I'm recovering pretty well I get the staples out tomorrow😊 I'm still moving around a little slow but I can understand the punchy feeling but we all should just rest and let our bodies heal properly! long gone are the days of two pads and a super plus tampon! good luck everyone!

Hi TinaS in Queensland! I feel ready to try normal life today too, but everyone has warned me against pushing myself too hard. Not easy to hear that advice, as I am BORED! I'm used to being super-active, both physically and mentally. It will be interesting to see how we both feel by the end of today.

Well I think I might have overdid it tonight! Hubby wanted to take me to dinner since tomorrow is my birthday! I was all for it since I have been laying around for 5 days and can we spell stir crazy? It would be my name

I'm hurting a bit more now and have the heating pad on my belly. The swelling is a lot worse now! I guess our bodies let us know if we overdo it!

Hi all...had TAH/BSO on 3-6. Surgery went well. Worst part was intestines did not want to wake up. I bloated up to BLIMP size. Nurses tried lots to relieve gas pressure. Had 5 flushes, suppositories, laxitves, milk of mag, gas pills and prune juice mixed with apple juice and butter...that made me barf! Ouch! Finally belly began to rumble after 3 days of only jello and broth, on top of a 2 day pre op bowel prep. Still swollen belly but no other pain. Only been on Motrin at night since day after surgery. The binder is a life saver! Got home on 3-9. Hubby s head nurse, but sons in reserve to keep puppy away from my belly.

WOW you had a rough time after your surgery! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that! And that concoction they gave you to drink would make me barf too! We had our surgery on the same day and the same surgery too! But when I woke up my stomach was rumbling so loud they could hear it down the hall! I am constipated now after going a couple of times but those pain pills do that to me! Good luck to you from here on out! Sounds like you need it!
