3 wks post -op TAh without ovaries

Hi very one
I'm 47 I have three children the youngest is 14 I used to use the safe period after my last child as a contraceptive.
My story starts at 2007 when I had irregular periods and got pregnant, then an abortion . I used the loop as a contraceptive , it went fine for a while then the irregular periods started again and heavy bleeding threw the year. I went back to the doctor and I took stugeron for three cycles it kept ok for a year then it came back again I removed the loop at 2010 and changed the doctor.
The new doctor prescribed Dufastone to regulate the period, it went ok for another year but it started all over again . My periods lasted for two month from heavy bleeding to spotting ,everyday I used to tell my self it will stop but it didn't.
At the end of 2011 I went to my Dr for the same reasons, the ultrasound showed that my endometrial was 2.4mm and it should be about 6-9 so he asked for curettage and a biopsy. November 2011 I made the biopsy it showed simple endometrial hyper plasia
All that time I thought I was going threw menopause and this is a normal stages before my period stops, But when the Dr talked to me about the threapy and the options
I have , I was shocked that hysterectomy was among them.
He was clear with me that I should start progesterone therapy first before deciding to do the hys and there is no hurrry to do the HYS. After that I started to take the Steronate hormone , I also read a lot about my case and I was sure that if the bleeding starts again I have to do it I was really bored of visiting the DR every couple of month and doing ultra sounds . After the first month from using the pills and the curettage the spotting started again and my endometrial was 1.9 so I decided to do the op Before I go threw heavy bleeding again.

The surgery went fine, I was on general anesthesia. I stayed one hour in the surgery and another hour in the recovery then they put a cath for 24 hours .
The pain was hard but with pain killer it was less, I refused to take morfin to sleep because I was afraid that it will make my blood pressure high but I found out later that it is not related , I tried to sleep on my own. Next morning I started to walk in the room, sitting on the chair was much better than the bed , I started to take out gases I felt the gas moving in my stomach until it's out amazing.
I made my first bowl movement with the help of the suppository then the next day It was normal.

After 48 hours I went home , the problem was that I live in the third floor with no lift. For me the stairs was like a mountain but I managed to climb it one by one slowly, having rests in between then I made it.
At night I felt itching and pain around the bandage , it was a transparent one, I can see my skin around the stitches sore and red so I called my doctor and told him , he told me that your skin is sensitive to the bandage and you have to change it to a cotton type one, so I bought a new one and my husband changed it I was so scared but it didn't hurt and I felt so much relief afterwards
Every day passes by I'm getting better I went out twice and I'm moving around the house doing simple things, I found this site two days ago it had answers to most of my questions and I learn t a lot the most important thing is to take it easy and don't rush yourself for being a super woman again. Good luck for everyone.
