LAVH 3 days out

Hello all. I had a LAVH on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. I am 42 years. I had a 4cm fibroid & a large rock-hard uterus that caused my stomach to 'pooch' no matter what I did, absent & then super long periods, pain...the usual lovely stuff that comes along with an u.happy uterus. One thing that really prompted me also was during my workouts I would stretch out & when I would do a 'cat stretch' I would get the strangest 'balling up' & pulling sensations. It was so uncomfortable & wierd! Anyway I am also Diabetic, but very well controlled. I went into surgery at noon & didn't get released from recovery until close to 6:30/7:00. Turns out my uterus was fused to my abdominal wall & it took her sometime to 'unfuse' it. They hard a hard time getting my blood pressure up in recovery 55/45. I had to have 2/3 units of blood, which made me extremely ill. My sugars went up to 200 for a while but then came right back down with no problems or medications! By the next day though, I was much better although the pain was about an 8, they were good at keeping me down to a 6 most of the time. I stayed an extra day & came home Friday. Its been a long road, but I know it'll be worth it in the long run. I really considered putting off the surgery & do it in a couple years, but I'm so glad I didn't because I cant imagine what fusion or situation I would've had by then. So glad I did it & sure I will feel much better than I had been feeling real soon. So my advice to anyone considering putting off their surgery, please don't, it could end up a lot worse later on.
