Roughneck, so glad to hear about your dad!! Hope he recovers well.

Lady, the other day, I could have sworn I saw a bruise coming up my left side, so I took a picture with my phone and it wasn't there. Looked at my belly again and it wasn't there!

I've taken near daily pictures of my incision so I can track it's progress and I don't have to wonder if it's worse from day to day. It also just gives me something to do! I have forgotten to do it over the last few days.

Lily and 199, I had some really bad dizzy spells last week or the week before. To the point where I was holding on to furniture while everything went black. I would have them more when I was overdoing it and not sleeping well. I also take ADD medication due to my ridiculously bad ADD and noticed that when I have taken it since the surgery, my dizzy spells are a little worse. So it may be a combination of the surgery and any meds you are taking, but let us know what the Dr. says Lily!
I know what you mean I should have been on my period now and so pleased I'm not.i did regret having my op at first now but really pleased I did now.my dizzy spells sound like what yours were.i have been overdoing things as well but at dr first thing in the morning so will update you all xxx

Good afternoon ladies.

Went to VS and bought 10 pairs of NEW, pretty, underwear. All colors and shapes ! So excited to get to toss my Period Granny panties !

BUT, alas now I am SO tired, so I'm off to take a nap before dinner.

Roxy,(dodger), thanks for your reply, and yes it is funny that we both have the same name in such a group and had our surgery only one day apart. Nice to read about your VS shopping spree, it sure does wonders for our spirits. I went shopping the other day as well, bought some new shirts, and a few new undies, and it made me feel great, also got my hair cut and colored! I feel so much better than I did before my surgery, I feel as though I have been given a do-over, so here I go.

Have a great day,
Roxanne

Second I was wondering if any of you have found yourself urinating more than usual. I have been tested twice for bladder infections, both negative. Sometimes I will go to the bathroom and minutes later finding myself with the urge to go again.. Please help
I am finding that my bladder does not empty itself all the way, so i feel like I have to go again too soon.

I do believe (he told me these things when i was on dilaudid) he tacked my bladder to my abdomen, so maybe that has something to do w/it. I occasionally have searing pain in my c-section scar... thought maybe it was my bladder tacked to it?? anyone have ideas on that?

I went back to work on April 5. Transitioning wasn't too bad...wasn't as bad as I thought.
I can't wait for summer break, too! Glad your transition wasn't as bad as you expected. Sometimes I think "we" (me!) worry more than necessary.

Must tell you I chickened out going back this Friday. My dr. called me this morning and I told him I am not ready. (My eye infection is back and the throat is sore again... I took a Zpack last week. I swear they never work on me). Am calling my PCP tomorrow to hopefully get some 10 day antibiotics to rid of this. Now planning for an April 27 return to work. (then 6 wks 'til summer!!)

Good luck w/your busy testing week. It's such a stressful time for the kids and staff.

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Mar 19-Mar 25,2012

ELN, it is common practice to tack the bladder to the abdomen as the cervix is what normally supports it, so he probably did that. I would imagine it could be a source of your pain and the bladder is going to be irritated right now. You may check with your dr to see if you can take cranberry pills (can get them pretty much anywhere that has a vitamin section). The can help calm it down.

Meanwhile, I overdid it yesterday as I mentioned before and have been sore all day and when I was putting the oldest to bed, I side stepped around a toy and pull something on the right side. I'm hoping I haven't messed anything up.
