Post op Bleeding

Today I am 11 days postop for TAH, BSO, exploratory lap. Everything was benign-endometriosis big time. Suddenly today I started to have some vaginal bleeding - bright red. Not a lot but wearing a pad. Has this happened to anyone else? I figured if it doesn't stop by tomorrow I will call Dr just to be sure. Thanks for any info.

Heya...

Please give your doc a ring today...as it is a change that warrents some checking in my opinion. The only reason i say that is because my doc had told me any change that is way different than the course of healing he has seen in me is enough to just give him a heads up on. It may be nothing it may be somthing, and it is just a phone call, it can't hurt to play things safe. TAKE IT EASY SIS! Have a seat grab a cup o' tea and a great book.

Hugs,

Jamie

Post op Bleeding

Hi, kjgarden! If it's bright red or heavy, you should call your dr. But it is normal for a little bleeding or spotting to occur starting at day10-14 after hyst as the stitches start to dissolve. The bleeding can last for a couple weeks, but shouldn't feel like a period. Hope everything is ok for you and that you continue healing. Best wishes
Ruthie
