Ladies.... I would like to share a lesson with you all. DO NOT OVER DO IT!!! Somehow I did (not sure how as the most i've done in the last few days is go to the bank 1 mile up the road). I ended up in the ER tonight as I was in MASSIVE PAIN! Turns out I 'displaced' a rib. This was found after the CT scan showed nothing wrong inside. I will be on my motrin every 4 hours for the next 3 days!!!! It hurts when I breathe so not much else for me to do but take the meds and sleep.... kind of how I've been living for the last few days.

Sending healing thoughts to my fellow princesses!

Seems like a new symptom every night. Ugh! Seems like I can't catch my breath. I try to take deep breaths but feels like my diaphragm is not big enough to take in air.. Has anyone felt this discomfort during this recovery? Is this something I should call the doctor/hospital about? I don't want to be whiny to the doctors but this is very uncomfortable.

First of all, if you are unsure about anything call the doc/hospital. The way I look at it is it's better to be safe than sorry.
As for your symptom... that is how I felt immediately after surgery due to the gas in my body. It still hurts some times when I yawn. If you are that concerned CALL or GO TO your doctor/hospital.... that is why they are there. To make sure you are healing correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate the fact that I have NO idea if what I'm feeling at any given time is normal or not. I know we all heal at different speeds but sometimes knowing that just frustrates me even more. While I don't regret becoming a princess, at least I knew the reason for all my pain before..... UGH!!!
Good Luck Sanmelero..... sending you prayers and healing thoughts

Soooooo bored! Is it sad I'm actually thinking about watching teen mom since my dd put it on the queue? There's NOTHING ON!!!! I've already flat ironed my hair, febreezed the house as I was walking through, put out dinner for tomorrow to thaw, and folded the throws in the living room. Thought it would tire me out but nope! Yet I'm super tired. Even tried the ole counting sheep thing. Nope got to 342 and got to laughing myself so hard it hurt...literally LOL

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Mar 26-Apr 01,2012

This evening I was changing my 2 year old daughter on the floor. When I went to standup I put one foot forward and the pushed myself up on that thigh. I didn't feel any pain but immediately felt blood gushing. It was massive amounts of blood- soaked towels and pads. My surgery was 2 hours away so they said to go to the llocal hospital. I called my ob who delivered my daughter and he met me in the ER. After a quick exam he decided to take me to the OR. I tore the sutures in my vaginal cuff. I'm bummed because I really was doing awesome- pain pills stopped 2 days post op, no bleeding or spotting and just fafigue. I just boo hooed because I want to be done!

So ladies- be careful and keep taking it easy even when you feel fine.

They are keeping me overnight and going to do a CT in the
morning to check for internal bleeding.

Hi All,

I recently had my surgeries one month ago, I had the laparascopic procedure done, however I had complication from the surgery and was hospialization for two days for the pain being unbearable, then a 2 weeks later a main artery burst causing major bleeding, which I had to get a blood transfusion and put into ICU for two and half days. I have never been so scared in my life. I have mixed feeling about my surgery and I'm emotional wreck, I wish I would have seen this website before I made my decesion. I really enjoy knowing I'm not alone. Thank you for all the support.

jcflorida- I'm so sorry for your setback! Glad you got it taken care of and are back on recovery road. Wishing you well. Isn't it just crazy how the simplest thing, standing up, did this. I think of this often, as I'm reaching to put the cat bowl down when feeding him. Must be very careful, a normal movement can really mess things up. WOW

godloves-WOW!! So glad you are ok. I can not imagine how scared you were. It terrifies me just thinking of it. Good luck and god bless you!! Wishing you a very speedy and pain free recovery!!

Godloves...God bless you! You have been through so much!

All, I can add to this post ladies, is I totally agree that it's been 2 weeks today and I am amazed that I'm not back to my "superwoman" self. I have a 3 and a 6 year old and it drives me crazy to not be able to pick them up and play with them they way I could 3 weeks ago. My Aunt had a TVH at 27 years old and she totally over did it and had over a decade of problems from getting adhesions. Every time I lean over to pick something up, I feel a sharp pain or some discomfort and I keep reminding myself that it will be a lot easier to just keep taking it easy for the next couple of months than over doing it and have more surgeries in the future to correct the problems that I could have prevented. I am by no means trying to lecture anyone.... I understand that this is easier said than done. I feel like a completely worthless human being right now, but know that if we all want and even may feel like doing more because we are several weeks out from our surgery and we are going a little stir crazy.....but after reading several post, it just confirms that we all just need to continue to take care of ourselves and still ask for help, if you have it.

Thank God, for this site! ALL of you ladies have encouraged me and have keep you all in my prayers everyday. At this point, which seems to absolutely suck.....I REALLY thought I'd have my superwoman cape back on, by now! LOL

Love to you all and thanks for your input to help me get through everyday. I look forward to you ladies EVERYDAY!

I hope you all are feeling much better soon. Take care and let us know how you are!
