Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Apr 02-Apr 08,2012

Thanks ladies, I'm crying with what could have happened and crying that it is a miracle he is with us all in one piece. Horrific to see my baby fall from such a high place and I could do nothing at all. He's so lucky and he does not even know it.
I squeezed myself into his tinny single bed and held him tight. Then as he started to move (a GOOD SIGN) I left his bedside as I was falling off. I propped a many pillows so he would not fall out. He's moving around today and neck a little sore. Made contact with Chiropractor for an assemment. How does one fall so far onto steel and come out onscaved is a miracle from above.

I'm now mentally drained and exhausted. Late in the evening my tummy was throbbing and had those lightening pains. No biggie I moved as fast as I could and would have done the same week one. I'm sure for me being 6 weeks it will be just fine. I see surgeon tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone and lets hope all our children, friends, cousins, nieces, newphews etc remain safe. Can I put him in a bubble for the rest of his life??

I'm a sobbing mess right now. I must switch the brain off to all things positive, he's ok yet now I keep seeing the image of him falling. I gotta get a grip here.

I too know now know how my mom felt now since I broke my arm twice, sprained my ankle. Had severe car accident, was VSA in college, parents called told I passed on but was a mistake since a few others died that night in accdients. They mixed the calls up. Had my shoulder operated on after accident. Had emergency appendix surgery. She must have been nuts and I never understood. I'm going to hug her.

What a tiring wasted day in Emergency Room yesterday.Unrine test came back negative, infection is gone. Because of the brown stained urine and bladder and back pain they ran another cat scan , did blood work. Everything turned out fine. They prescribes phenazopyridine for 3 days for bladder pain. Gave me the name of a urologist to see if I am not better in 3 days. I see my surgeon Thursday for 6 week post op check.I still feel tired, sore, and crappy. I am just waiting for the day when I wake up and don't feel crappy.This is depressing me and really taking a toll on my mental well being. I had no idea it would be 6 weeks and I still would not feel normal.

Oh Cathy, I'm sorry you had to go through that yesterday. But I'm glad they didn't find anything. That is good news!

I really want to encourage you that this too will pass and that things will get better. I know in my heart that they will. I just wish I knew when and could tell you.

I feel down sometimes, too, because of my lack of a job. But when those times come, I count my many blessings and look how far I've come in my life--not necessarily medical, but with employment and being "rescued" from bad job situations and being truly blessed with a new one. Now I am waiting to see what will happen next. Life is an adventure--in many different ways. One minute we are in a valley of bad things happening and the next, we can be feeling great--on a mountaintop. I trust God with my life and I am not disappointed--at least not for long.

Are you keeping the kittens? Have you named them?

Just went to the doctors for my 6 week check up. I have been released with no restrictions other than no big o for till the end of 8 weeks. I am returning to work tomorrow gonna do a half day then play it be ear after that. Other than swelly belly and alittle soreness i,m feeling pretty good. Just want to thank you all for your support. I know some of you are still going through rough patches just know your in my prayers and i wish you all happy healing.

Cath, I know it is diffcult right now and not fair at all. Try and take extra joy in little things that make your day good. One being blood work came back good and all else is good re hyster. As for bladder, what kind of pain is it? Is it a aching pain, a fullness where you have to go and cannot? Is it a pain where you continually have to go? Or something else? Did you have work on the bladder? Were there issues before hand?
